i found a picture from 2009 when we first moved into our home. in the corner of the frame you can see my calendar hanging on the wall and listed were only 6 dates booked for shows in August… in 5 years i went from working a day job 70hours a week and gigging in between here and there on weekends, to playing and performing as a full time lifestyle love and passion. putting in the work and constantly practicing, booking shows, upgrading equipment, this website, meeting people, networking; these are the things that are helping in the progression and success of my music career. i went from those six lonely shows back in 8/09 to having 33 confirmed shows booked in 8/14 =) and there are still some Mon Tue Wed free to book even more. i love playing and its a new experience every time…i’m learning a lot about people and the diversity of musical tastes all lead back to the same thing, if you do it whole heartedly, it doesn’t matter what you play.
